The Chicken Came First
The chicken is a linoleum stamp hand-carved in 2015 that is still used to this day. My chingooz, meaning “friends” in Korean, is the why the CHINGOOZ Apparel brand was created. Through their encouragement, the brand today serves not only as a business endeavor but also as a platform for me to experiment with art direction, fashion, and collaboration.
The “Fairest” of Them All
CHINGOOZ has since expanded into other designs and endeavors, including serving other communities worldwide. The “Fairest” of Them All raised funds for the nonprofit Liberty in North Korea through a satirical take on the Kim regime.
