Pics for the Kids

Installation, Identity, Digital, Print, UX/UI
(Concept Project)

Pics for the Kids is a hypothetical fundraising campaign and exhibition for Contact Photography Festival in support of the organization, Justice for Children and Youth (JFCY).

The campaign features prints for sale from five Black photographers whose work is directly inspired by their experience: Micaiah Carter, Tyler Mitchell, Nadine Ijewere, Gunner Stahl, and Awol Erizku. 100% of the proceeds from the prints will go towards supporting JFCY.
Inspired by the bold use of lines within 1980s photography magazines, the art direction is catered toward the youth since the campaign supports Child Rights.

As photography continues to be an underrepresented industry for Black and POC artists, the Pics for the Kids zine not only portrays the artists’ work, but also contains exerpts from interviews that help explain the inspiration and motivation behind their work.

Color is Beautiful Installation

Color Is Beautiful is a public installation that takes place in Toronto's High Park. With five two-sided panels, the experience celebrates on one side the artist and their work, and on the other side celebrates the community and outreach of the nonprofit organization.
